Southland detectives are hoping Police Ten 7 viewers will help with information about a Mataura home invasion and stabbing which features on tonights (Thursday 14th September) programme.
An elderly man spent several days in hospital after an unknown male entered the victim’s home on Saturday night, 17 June, in Main Street, Mataura, demanded money before stabbing the victim and leaving.
Detective Sergeant Greg Baird, Invercargill Police, said this was an unprovoked and violent assault, and one in which viewers can help police.
