Police Seek Witnesses in Connection to Gore Suspicious Fire

Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Baird has appealed for witnesses to come forward following a suspicious fire in Church St, Gore in the early hours of 15 February.

Southland Police and Fire investigators have conducted a scene examination, but they are appealing to the public for any information that may help their investigation. The authorities are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area prior to the fire.

Furthermore, police are interested in speaking to a person seen in the vicinity of the train tracks by Hamilton Park on the night of the incident. It is believed that individuals of interest may have suffered injuries, including burns.
