Gore Police are investigating a house fire that occurred on the morning of Monday, 16 June, and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

At around 11 am, Police were called to Duke Street after reports of the fire. Authorities are eager to speak with anyone who was in the area at that time, especially those who attempted to enter the house before emergency services arrived.

Detective Sergeant Brian McKinney stated, “We are interested in speaking to anyone who was in the vicinity of Duke Street before the emergency services arrived. Additionally, we are keen to talk to the members of the public who tried to access the property prior to our arrival.”

A scene examination is ongoing this morning, and currently, the fire is being treated as unexplained. Police also want to hear from anyone in the Duke Street area who has CCTV footage or photos and videos of the fire on their devices.
