Invercargill Police are on the hunt for a male intruder who was spotted inside a residential property on Conyers Street in the early hours of 15 February. The occupant of the house woke up to find the intruder inside and immediately confronted him. The intruder fled the scene, but not before being spotted by the resident.
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Baird has appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the capture of the intruder. Police have already conducted a scene examination at the house and are now seeking any witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time.
The incident has left the residents of Conyers Street shaken and concerned for their safety. Police have reassured the public that they are doing everything they can to locate the intruder and prevent any further incidents. They have urged anyone with information to come forward and speak to them as soon as possible.
