Southland Police are reminding all Southland and Invercargill along with Riverton residents to ensure your property is secure.
Police have responded to reports of burglaries of two holiday homes in Riverton in the past week.
In one of the burglaries a reasonably distinctive surfboard was stolen, as shown in the photographs.
This surfboard may have been, or may be, offered for sale.
Police would like anyone with any information about the item to come forward, either to the Riverton Police directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
It is timely to remind holiday home owners in the area to check on the security of their properties and report any burglaries to Southland Police on 03 211 0400. From there, a local Police officer will make contact make enquiries.
