Southland Police are reminding all Southland and Invercargill along with Riverton residents to ensure your property is secure.

In one of the burglaries a reasonably distinctive surfboard was stolen, as shown in the photographs.

Police would like anyone with any information about the item to come forward, either to the Riverton Police directly or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

With the weather improving, we expect that more people will visit their cribs over the next few months.

It is timely to remind holiday home owners in the area to check on the security of their properties and report any burglaries to Southland Police on 03 211 0400. From there, a local Police officer will make contact make enquiries.
