Following earlier appeals, police have reviewed CCTV footage, which has helped them build descriptions of the two people involved in the assault.

The man is described as having a slim build and being between 175cm and 185cm tall. He was seen wearing light-coloured, possibly grey, track pants with zip-up pockets, ankle-high boots with a dark sole, a light-coloured hooded top, and black gloves.
Detective Sergeant McKinney said, “This was a particularly vicious and unprovoked assault, where the victim was beaten unconscious and suffered serious injuries, including a fractured eye socket and a broken nose.”
He added, “Concerningly, after the victim lost consciousness, the offenders attempted to restrain him by taping his hands together behind his back. We believe the outcome for the victim could have been much worse given the severity of this attack.”
Police are continuing to appeal for information to help identify the offenders. Anyone with details is encouraged to contact Police via 105 and quote file number 251116/4977. People can also provide information anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
