A gravel speed event run by The Eastern Southland Car Club (they are based in Gore) . A very active club with a good variety of events.
Last Sundays event was called the “Blue Hut “ Gravel Sprint and was conducted on a forestry road in the Venlaw Forest , north east of Wyndham. There was 21 entries in a variety of cars.
The competitors were treated to a piece of gravel road that is in superb condition , rain settled any dust !! . The road was a bit “sticky” in a few places.
- The event was won by Neville Krammer in a Subaru Legacy
- Second place was Vaughan Edie in a Mitsubishi Evo
- Third Place went to Steve Morris also in a Mitsubishi Evo
