The game was between Grant Moore Shearing Winton Warlords and City –
Invercargill Senior Rugby League teams. The Players Cooks Rugby League Team
had a few players also turn up for a run. The score was not noted as it was
essentially just a pre -season shakedown for the 3 teams.

All players had a good 80 minutes of action and honed up on techniques for
the forthcoming 2015 Southland District Rugby League competition season.
The season commences on Sunday April 12th and all games for the 2015 season
will be played on Sundays . The season final is scheduled for Sunday July
12th.
There will be 2 games played each Sunday (1 pm and 3 pm) The first four
games will be played at the Elles Road field after that games will be at
Sandy Point and Winton . The final will possibly be held at the community
sports facility adjacent to Splash Palace , formally known as Rugby Park.
