The market has been spiked by the studies of a young Waikato school student who decided to trial the company’s GPS collars on her family’s cats. Two of the cats were quite happy to be part of this groundbreaking research. The third wouldn’t have a bar of it perhaps sighting privacy issues.
As reported on Stuff recently young Evahn Martinsen got a surprise when the readings from the GPS trackers were collated.
The 13 year old found that the two cats that took part covered some distances under the light of the moon over Waikato.
The readings even pointed to a walk by of a Burger King restaurant. No doubt to get a sniff of their tasty delights as well as a stopover at a local tennis court, perhaps to think about a game, one day.
The cats preferred to stay close to the fire or someone warm on the colder Waikato nights. Let’s face it would you really want to go wandering in the middle of the night in the depths of winter, ask yourself.
