On Sunday the Southland Police station doors were thrown open to the public, and crowds of all ages got to see what goes on behind the scenes at the police station. Was a fun day for young and old. Unfortunately due to the death of man on Saturday the cells were unavailable.

Police can confirm that earlier today they have recovered the body of a 23 year-old man after he jumped from the Riverton Bridge late last night. His death has now been referred to the coroner and, as such, police are not able to comment further as to the cause of his death. The man’s family […]
