The family of Luka Pascoe is overwhelmed at the amount of support received from businesses for this Saturday’s fundraising auction and quiz night.
Luka (18 months) has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma cancer and is currently in Christchurch undergoing treatment for the next 14 months.
The fundraiser has been organised by colleagues and friends of his parents Katelyn and Toby Pascoe, and is already a sellout with 300 people purchasing tickets.
Toby said between $50,000 and $60,000 in prizes ranging from jet boat trips to bungi jumping have been donated from 100 businesses throughout the Southern Lakes.
Katelyn is a career firefighter and her colleagues at the Invercargill Fire Brigade as well as their many close friends have done the majority of the organising.
Because of the huge support, they have decided to already start the auction online for some of the bigger items – which can be found at https://www.32auctions.com/luka
Bidding opened on Monday June 6 and will continue through until 6pm on Saturday night, followed by the quiz night. The even will be broadcast live online where further bidding can take place

The quiz night is being held at the Invercargill Workingmen’s Club with 75 teams selling out in just three days.
All funds raised with go directly towards Luka and supporting both medical and travel costs for him as he receives between 12-16 months of intensive treatment.
RayWhite Agent and Auctioneer James McRobie will be leading the call on Saturday night.
“With 100+ prizes and auction items comes a logistical challenge for the organisers as there just isn’t enough time in the night to give some of the major prize items the justice they deserve.”
