It’s time to start jumping with joy as after a long two+ years Invercargills very own Jump ‘N’ Fun trampoline park will officially open tomorrow (Saturday 6th October) at 9am.
Anticipation has been building for weeks as the park has been assembled.
The time line:
April 2016: What’s On Invers first reported that a trampoline park was coming to town and it was to be built in a Leet Street building. Due to that building needing extensive work after Invercargill City Council changing the building use type.
July 2017: Demolition has started on the old All Lay Carpets & Purdue Bros buildings, on the corner of Nith and Tyne Streets to make way for the new trampoline park The 1500m2, 8m-high state-of-the-art building is being built by HWR Property
October 2017: Construction started Five cranes hoist the 1500 square metre, completed roof structure (with all required services in place) allowing the pre-fixed structural legs to swing into position and be connected to their engineered foundations.
April 2018: The building was vandalised with almost every window in the building smashed.
September 2018: Here we are with opening not faraway.
