The total number of tests completed so far is 255,850, with 5604 processed yesterday.

There was one new case reported yesterday, linked to the St Margaret’s cluster in Auckland, after four straight days of no cases.

There have been just three new cases of the coronavirus in the past 12 days.

The Health Ministry said another 31,000 people had registered with the NZ Covid Tracer app, with 324,000 now signed up.

“We continue to encourage as many people as possible to download the app – it will help us identify, trace, test and isolate any cases of Covid-19. The faster we can do these steps the less likely it is the virus can spread in our communities. ”
The total number of cases in Southern is 216 (confirmed and probable).
There are no active cases in the Southern district. 214 individuals have now recovered and two are deceased.

The most recent case in the Southern district was reported on 18 April. Since then there have been no new cases in the district.
