Here is the first look at what the new Waikiwi Tavern will look like, ILT chief executive Greg Mulvey said the modern building will incorporate a bar as well as a cafe element.

“It’s driven by what the patrons want – we’ve kept a careful eye on the trends in the hospitality area and we wanted to try and expand the market so we’re relevant for the next five-to-ten years ” he said.

The all NEW Waikiwi Tavern/cafe will be located on  the corner of North Rd and Gimblett Street, is expected to open for the busy Christmas period.
