Invercargill newest Night ’n Day store is now open in the middle of the city.

Franchise owner Andrew Nicol has spent the past two years planning for his third store, to complement those in Richmond (Tay/Lindisfarne) and South City (Elles Road).

Night ’n Day Invercargill City at 55 Dee Street opened at the weekend, and Andrew said it was all quite a slow process, given the hold ups with Covid-19, but he was pleased they were finally in.

“Overall, the build has gone reasonably well.”

Night ’n Days have been a real family affair for the Nicols – Andrew bought the Elles Road shop off his father who was one of the earliest franchisees, in 2004, and opened up the Tay Street shop in December 2007.

His parents Brian and Juanita opened up Elles Road in 1992 and rebuilt it in 1999.

His brother Tony also owns the Night ’n Day in Milton, and their older brother Brendon works there too.

Andrew said the new Night ’n Day Invercargill City is slightly smaller than his others stores but featured the updated store concept that is being rolled out to stores across the country and is worth popping in to see.

It would be offering what all Night ’n Days are known for – milkbar, hot food, coffee and essentials, as well as store-only specials.

“It’s brand new and fresh and looks bright,” he said.
