Local real estate agent Sheree Williams is going from strength to strength after purchasing the Mike Pero Southland franchise almost a year ago.

Five years after starting her journey into real estate, the 30-year-old has made a great name for herself in Southland, and has now started to expand her territory.

“I love houses so much I live in them,” she joked, about her passion for the industry.

Since going out on her own the business has grown 166% in the past 11 months, expanding out of Invercargill to also cover areas such as Wallacetown, Edendale, Matura and Winton.

She has also taken on Tenysha Bennie, who was working alongside her as licensed personal assistant. Tenysha will be expanding out into sales in the up and coming months.

Sheree said Mike Pero Southland was very team and family orientated.

“It’s not about bums on seats but creating an incredible work place environment, building a team that spend their days not only working hard but laughing, smiling and having the time of their life.”

Starting out studying architectural design and then moving into interior design, Sheree said she soon found that her love was more about the houses themselves, and the people she worked with.

“I always knew I would come into real estate, but I initially thought it was more for middle-aged people. I wanted to bring this new cutting edge side to real estate.”

She’s racked up a string of national awards including ‘Rookie of the Year’ for Mike Pero Real Estate in 2019, and 1st place in the South Island for listings, as an individual at the recent 2020 awards Gala.

She said what strives her to succeed was her clients, and just seeing people happy after finding their dream home.

“It’s such a personal journey with people.”

Sheree believes in herself and what she stands for, not only in real estate but as a person.

She juggles her day-to-day life around her young family, and knows that having a happy, healthy home life is the key to success – which overflows into her business.

“My main focus is not expanding my business to be big, but to be the best it can be, and that starts on the ground with me and my team.”
