Invercargill’s recently-rebranded holiday park on the north side of the city on McIvor Rd is keen to welcome holiday travellers.
With direct flights from Auckland to Invercargill resuming, Southland could get a well-deserved boost in tourism this holiday season. The locally-owned Invercargill Holiday Park and Motels hope to see an influx of visitors to the region as a result of the returning flights.
Ranked number 3 for accommodation providers on Tripadvisor for Invercargill, the holiday park’s family-friendly environment proudly boasts a bed for every budget. Nestled on the outskirts of town, the location is in a park-like setting and only minutes away from shopping, restaurants and activities in Invercargill.
Formerly part of a collective of holiday parks, the now independent company has rebranded with a new logo and website.
Striking out on their own has already started to show benefits for the holiday park.“Being independent gives us the opportunity to be more community-focused,” said Philip Todd, owner of the Invercargill Holiday Park. “We can partner with local businesses and keep our money within our community instead of giving it to a corporate body where rising fees and red tape provide little benefit to our local economy.”
Invercargill Holiday Park and Motels hope the fresh new identity will appeal better to travellers planning to visit Invercargill. The new website is dedicated entirely to Southland and showcases what the region has to offer through informative articles on local insights and activities.
“We want travellers to know that there’s plenty to do in the South.” Todd said. “The new website has lots of information about Southland so visitors learn about the region from locals who have lived here for decades.”
“Southland is an incredible region,” Todd added in regards to the rebranding. “We hope that by breaking away and becoming independent we can continue to create a brand that will stand on its own two feet, bring more people here and show them our region, delivering genuine southern hospitality.”
Travellers are welcome to make reservations by phone or on the holiday park’s new website.
