iHire Invercargill’s doors open on Monday (July 3) for the new firm’s grand opening and manager Richard Marrah will be back working with an industry he thrives in.

Mr Marrah, who has more than 20 years of first-hand industry experience, said there is plenty of competition in the region, but was happy to roll up his sleeves and was “looking forward to the challenge it represents”.

“I won’t lie, it’s been a busy time,” he said.

Mr Marrah has spent the past few weeks liaising with suppliers; organising the purchase and delivery of equipment; and overseeing the fit out of their new premises at 213 Bond St, Invercargill.

He alongside the Phillips brothers Lloyd, Craig and Wayne, have received plenty of community support and are all looking forward to catching up with customers and showcasing the firm’s range of equipment during Monday’s grand opening, which will also include a barbecue.

iHire Invercargill will have a range of equipment for hire including access equipment, compressors, generators, compaction and concrete equipment, trailers and earthmoving machinery, plus a few more “surprises”, Mr Marrah said.

Monday’s grand opening begins at 7am, get along and support the 100% Southland owned and operated business.
