The HWR Board would like to announce that after 12 years of loyal service, Rex Williams is stepping down from his role as Chairman of HWR.

During his tenure HWR has achieved significant growth, and while it was not an easy decision to make, Rex said he was pleased with the progress HWR had made over his years as Chairman.

“I’m tremendously proud to have been involved in HWR for the past 12 years and I’d like to thank the many, many staff I’ve met across the Group, who have helped me along the way and have added value to both myself and HWR,” Williams said.

Rex will be replaced by current independent director Albert Brantley, who joined the HWR Board in October last year.

“Since joining the HWR Board I’ve really appreciated the warm welcome and openness I’ve received from all staff and it’s made my decision to take on the role as Chair an easy one to make. Over the past 12 years, Rex has done a fantastic job of leading the Board, and I’ve certainly got some big shoes to fill. I’m pleased that Rex has agreed to stay on as a Director as it will provide good support and continuity during this transition,” Brantley said.

Brantley’s appointment as HWR Chair is effective from 16 October 2019.
