New Eastern Southland Dairy Processing Plant Takes Shape

A new dairy processing plant in eastern Southland is rapidly taking shape.

If you’ve driven passed it and wondered what’s going on here? Well, here’s drone footage from MVM, Ltd the company building the new plant at McNab near Gore.

The $200m plant is expected to be all go for the 2017/18 season.

MVM or Mataura Valley Milk will be making nutritional powders for infants, toddlers and adults plus a range of other products all for the export market.

That is expected to bring $90m into the local economy.

It’s expected that up to 60 people will be employed on site when it starts operating
