The National leader Judith Collins to speaks to the media about the party’s plan for small businesses.
Collins announces a five point plan for small business:
- A lower tax cost and compliance
- Fairer employment law
- Better cashflow
- Less red tape
- Better access to capital
Collins says they will increase the provisional tax threshold from $5000 to $25,000 and will raise the compulsory GST threshold from $60,000 to $75,000.
National will provide a $10,000 cash payment to businesses that hire additional staff. They would also repeal the government’s changes to the Employment Relations Act.
“That will certainly help many small businesses,” she says.
Collins says National would repeal the RMA.
Collins says many businesses feel suspicious of WorkSafe.
National would also initiate a review into WorkSafe.
