Police can now confirm the 24 year-old man who died on Wednesday (1st May) evening as a result of a single vehicle crash in Otatara, Invercargill he was Matthew James Lines-Gerrard from Invercargill.
Police wish to express their condolences to Mr Lines-Gerrard’s family at this time.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
Police and ambulance attended a serious crash in Southland tonight on Watt Road, Otatara.
A motorbike collided with a power pole and the rider sustained fatal injuries.
The crash occurred at about 10pm and the Serious Crash Unit are completing a scene examination.
