Farmers affected by the PGG Wrightson seeds mix-up will have the opportunity to ask questions to senior management at a public meeting hosted by Clutha-Southland MP Hamish Walker next week.
The public meeting is being held at the James Cumming Wing on April 6, at 11.30am.
“More than 500 farmers have been affected by the seed mix-up, so I’m expecting a strong turn out,” Mr Walker says.
“I’ve had a number of concerned farmers contact me worried about the situation, so I was delighted when PGG Wrightson agreed to attend my public meeting, directly address our farmers and answer their questions.”
A presentation will be given by PGG Wrightson senior management, followed by a Q and A session.
Mr Walker, who is also the National Party Agriculture Associate Spokesperson, will chair the meeting and is encouraging all farmers who have been affected by the seed mix-up to attend, or contact his offices with any questions.
