Marist Hosted Round Two Of Rugby Southland Women’s 10’s

After a shaky start in the first round of the Women’s 10’s Marist focused on putting on an improved performance this week The focus was to emphasise more on our run catch pass and working hard on defence.

The team were very happy to come away with a draw, loss and win.

Marist today hosted week two of the Rugby Southland Women’s 10’s. All teams played some great rugby and the level went up a notch from last week.

The home side managed a win vs Wakatipu, draw vs Woodlands and a loss vs Blues. Here is one of the best tries from our Marist Women’s team today. Write up from today’s action to come tomorrow! #MFL

A massive improvement to the three losses suffered last week. There was some impressive rugby played from Marist and the team is looking forward to the next round in Queenstown. Standout players for Marist were Tara Buckley, Katherine MacDonald, Jess Smith and Teilah Templeton
