A person has been charged with recklessly discharging a firearm after an incident in Invercargill on Sunday night.
A police spokeswoman said police received reports about 6.40pm on Sunday of a gun shot through a window on Jackson St.
The armed offenders squad was called in and a person was arrested at a nearby street, the spokeswoman said.
The person was due to appear in the Invercargill District Court today, she said.
