Hi there team.

Onward we travel down the road that is the decade of the 1970’s

Last week we had a couple of crackers from late in the decade. This week we’ll have a couple of crackers from the early part of the 70’s.

First up it’s Carly Simon’s You’re So Vain. A song that has definitely stood the test of time and still gets plenty of air play.

Second up, and believe me folks I’ve struggled to come up with a second choice such is the number and calibre of songs from that era but I’ve gone with Wizzard’s See My Baby Jive from the UK.

You may or may not know that Wizzard creator and front man Roy Wood created Electric Light Orchestra with Jeff Lynne but left when they started getting traction.

The thing with Wizzard is ……you just couldn’t get away with all that get up now. Imagine Justin Beiber trying to do something like See My Baby Jive .

Jive along to see our friends Haydon, Toni and Lennon at Little Fire MusicWorks on Dee St.
