Hiya team, hope that you are all coping with the bloody awful weather over the last few days, but it is spring and this is what we get, some brilliant days and some not so brilliant.

A land mark in modern music history. This week marks the 50th anniversary of the release of The Beatles Abbey Road album. Arguably one of their best.

It was also the last album they recorded and the last time the 4 of them were in the studio together. Most of Let It Be was recorded before AR but released afterwards.

The album was also one of the simplest creations, the 4 of them walking across a pedestrian crossing outside the Abbey Road studios but it also generated the most reaction from skeptics and conspiracy theorists but that’s another story.

For our Musical Memory we’ve got both sides of the single released off AR, John’s strange Come Together and George’s haunting love song, Something.

Enjoy a double helping of The Beatles with Little Fire MusicWorks on Dee St.
