Hi team, we’re back and ready to celebrate music from days gone by.

Did you know that Split Enz album True Colours is 40 this year?

I didn’t realize that either til Neil Finn posted that it was this week that marked the 40th anniversary of that iconic album entered the NZ music charts at No2!

It also knocked Pink Floyd off the No1 position both here and Australia, that’s some achievement.

I also didn’t realize that SE thought Missing Person would be the standout track, not I Got You.

In my opinion, True Colours can definitely be classed as a classic album. There are no “weak” tracks and plenty of variety.

Here’s a couple of the best, Neil Finn’s I Got You and Tim Finn’s more reflective and deep Hope I Never. Both showcasing the genius of both as writers and musicians.

While we are at it, get into Little Fire Music Works and check out the specials at Invers own true colour music store.

Cheers
