Mal’s Music Memory Special – Ringo Turns 80!!

Hiya team and welcome to this special edition of Mal’s Music Memory with Little Fire MusicWorks

We’re celebrating Ringo Starr’s 80th birthday this week, 7th July to be precise.

We’ve picked a couple of Beatles tracks on which he featured, Birthday from the White album where he plays a cracking track and Octopus’s Garden which shows he’s a reasonable singer.

Of course Ringo had a successful solo career for a while after The Beatles imploded.

He was also drinking buddies with various other stars and muso’s of the time.

The good news is he’s still going and he’ll put on a special 80th birthday gig shortly with Sir Paul McArtney and Joe Walsh.
