Mal’s Music Memory – RIP Richard Penniman – Little Richard

Sad news from the weekend with news that Little Richard had passed away.

Little Richard came from that wonderful era of the dawn of Rock ‘n’ Roll with contemporaries like Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry to name a few.

They say that Little Richard was the architect of Rock’n Roll. In my view Little Richard may have been the architect but Chuck Berry pegged out the building site and laid the foundations.

What is not in question is that he influenced a long long list of artists including The Rolling Stones and The Beatles.

Anyways have a gander at this and remember the early days and glory days of Rock ‘n’ Roll with Little Richard.
