Hiya team. Seems like a never ending parade of stars passing through the gates to enter another or better world.

First up, and we omitted to mention it at the time but the man who created one of the most memorable songs of the early 70’s Johnny Nash passed away at his home in Texas earlier this month.

Of course that songs was I Can See Clearly Now. Certainly a song that stands up today as it did back then.

I love the line in the song “Look straight ahead, nothin’ but blue skies.” Something we should all take heed of.

Second up, we mark the passing this week of Spencer Davis, founder of The Spencer Davis Group.

They were right in the thick of the British Invasion of the 60’s with a sound all of their own. Hits include Some Body help Me, Gimme Some Lovin’ and this classic Keep On Running.

Enjoy these two crackers and have a great Labour weekend.
