Hi all.

Sad to report the passing of a singer who had one of then best voices in modern American music. BJ Thomas

Billy Joe Thomas passed away over the weekend at his home in Texas aged 78 after a battle with Lung cancer.

Over his long and successful career in music he covered pop, country, and Christian hits of the 1960s and 1970s.

BJ Thomas started his singing life in a church choir and a local band The Triumphs in Rosenberg Texas. One thing lead to another and he became an international superstar in the 60’s and 70’s.

Here’s a couple of his best. First up it’s song that open the gate to the highway to success, Hank Williams I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.

Second up one of his biggest international hits, Hooked On A Feeling, everybody knows this song but maybe not the BJ version.

Sit back and take in one of the finest voices in modern music.

Cheers

Mal
