Hi there team, how’s your week been travelling so far.
Hope everyone is keeping warm, having said that more cold temperatures are on the cards for the end of the week.
This week Mal’s Music Memory travels back in the time tunnel to 1970 – 50 years ago as we feature two Kiwi No 1’s from that year.
First up Craig Scott’s Star Crossed Lovers, a tune that doesn’t much airplay today but still a good song none the less. It was written by Neil Sedaka and he doesn’t write dungers!
Second up is a song that still gets plenty of airplay and deservedly so. It’s the Fourmyula (note the spelling) with Nature written by band keyboard player Wayne Mason.
A trivia fact about these two crackers is that they both went to No 1 on the charts, had a couple of weeks out then both went back to the No 1 position.
For followers of a younger age range the music charts were a big deal in the 60’s and 70’s
Anyways, enjoy these two crackers, reminisce of the days 50 years ago when things were a wee bit simpler.
