Mal’s Music Memory – Helen Reddy RIP

Hiya team, sad news to round off the month.

Helen Reddy passed away at the age of 78.

The Australian born and raised singer made it big in the early 70’s with hits like Leave Me Alone (Ruby Red Dress), Angie Baby, You and Me Against The World, And I Love You So.

Helen has hardly ever off the road during these times as well.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that during these years she was managed by her husband who then ditched her and ran off with her considerable fortune.

Helen settled in the US where she hosted entertainment shows like The Midnight Special.

Reports out today say that Helen died after a battle with that awful illness Dementia .

Take a few minutes to take in her biggest hits Delta Dawn and the anthem I Am Woman.
