It’s birthday celebration time for one of the greatest song creators of modern times, Sir James Paul McCartney as he celebrates his 80th, yep 80th birthday this weekend.

As the Rolling Stones sang Time Waits For No-one but McCartney has been keeping up with and ahead of many of his peers in recent years.

One of the 4 pillars of The Beatles, then Wings and a successful solo career has just wound up his Got Back tour of the US and will be one of the headline acts at the huge Glastonbury Festival in England this coming weekend.

Many happy returns Paul McCartney (Sir James  Paul CH, MBE) and keep bringin’ out that old Hofner bass.

Here are a couple of what we reckon are a couple of his finest works, Eleanor Rigby from The Beatles catalogue and Uncle Albert Admiral Halsey from the early days of Wings. Both pretty good from a self taught bloke from Liverpool.

Cheers

Mal
