Hi there team. They say form is temporary, class is permanent. Eric Clapton without question comes into the latter category.

And Eric turned 74 over the weekend and is still going strong performing some dates in Japan this month, back to the UK for his now famous run at the Royal Albert Hall in May and dates in Europe in June.

With an artist like Eric Clapton CBE it’s almost an impossible job to pick one song to feature but I’ve chosen this blues beauty Stormy Monday from the Cream reunion concert at The Royal Albert Hall back in 2005.

In my view this rendition of Stormy Monday shows Eric off at his fluid best. Ginger Baker and the late Jack Bruce are also right on top of their game.

This is the blues and that is what Eric does best. Happy birthday Eric.

Enjoy

Mal
