We’re marking the 49th birthday of one of those million dollar songs, yer know, one of those tunes that sound just good, if not better today as they did when first released.

Yep, He Ain’t Heavy is one of those.

The Hollies recorded the basic track 49 years ago this week at the famous Abbey Road studios in London. The Beatles must’ve been away that week as that was their musical home.

The Hollies are still going but most of this line up has moved on.
