After becoming the Class 2 BNT V8’s Champion in his first full tilt at the title last season, Invercargill driver Liam MacDonald will return to the championship this year when it commences at Pukekohe Park Raceway, South Auckland, at the weekend.
The Ford Falcon that MacDonald took to the title will appear this season in the livery of new sponsor, Speedy Signs New Zealand.
MacDonald, who has fashioned an outstanding record in a short time at national level is keen to get underway. “I am all set to defend the title and do the very best I can,” the Southlander said prior to the action commencing at Pukekohe. The circuit is a venue he enjoys and as the BNT V8’s are a support category for the Australian Supercars
Championship this weekend, the event will be witnessed by a massive crowd. “I’ve raced at Pukekohe a few times now and I enjoy the circuit. It is great to race to a packed circuit.”
The young Southlander is also very grateful to Speedy Signs NZ for becoming his major sponsor. “I am really pleased to have my first major supporter on board for the season. It is a really big help and I am very thankful.” MacDonald also adds,
