Liam MacDonald and Andrew Lawrie were the winners at Round 6 of the Southland Sports Car Club’s Evolution Motorsport Clubsport Championship at Teretonga Park on Sunday.

It has been a hard-fought season and this round was no exception with MacDonald winning the Motorkhana in the morning from Gregg Cooper and Josh Cooper before Lawrie took the Autocross honours in the afternoon from MacDonald with Craig Allan third.

The results meant that MacDonald sealed the Motorkhana Championship for the 2019/2020 season from Stacy Lines and Andrew Kennedy while Lawrie took the Autocross Championship from Craig Allan and MacDonald. Sam Hole won the 0-1600 class and Lawrie the 1601cc & over class.

A non championship Clubsport triathlon will round out the season on Sunday 5 April, the perfect time for any newcomers to have a go at Clubsport.
