Councils
This years mayoral race is heating up, with today’s announcement former deputy mayor and Invercargill City Councillor Darren Ludlow will join the race for our city’s top job.
Mayor Tim will also face off against his current deputy Rebecca Amundsen, who announced her plans to give it a crack in late March.
Ludlow is long a term councilor of 18 years and this will be his 7th term.
His day job is Manager of Radio Southland and is kept busy with his other council roles including:
- Licensing Committee
- Chairman of council’s Finance
- Policy committee, Hearings Panel
- Events Committee, District Licensing Committee
- Child Youth and Family Friendly Committee
