Local shoe and apparel retailer Soled Out has donated 25 pairs of shoes to the Red Cross to be distributed to Invercargill refugee families.

Soled Out’s Kevin Downie and Chris Montgomery, with Laurie Blyth from Frontrunner (NZ), presented the shoes to Mauricio from the Red Cross on Sunday 6 October.

“It was an opportunity for us, a relatively new business, to show our support for the refugee community,” said Kevin. “We’ve spent a lot of time with the Colombian refugees through our association with Queens Park Football Club and they are a great bunch, so we just want to support them any way we can.”
