Last night there was a Police chase and came to an end on Dee street just Troopers memorial after spikes were laid to stop the driver.
What we know:
- Police were alerted to a driver on Bluff road who was driving erratically
- Police tried to stop the driver he sped off.
- Witnesses saw a police officer and police dog get hit by the car.
- A vet checked the dog suffered no serious injuries
- The officer had bruising to a leg.
- A 68-year-old man will appear in Invercargill District Court on a range of driving charges.
