A flurry of Police cars heading from Invercargill to Gore at approximately 5:15pm were responding to an incident in Gore.
What’s On Invers received many messages from the public due to so many police cars on their way to Gore with some saying there were ten or more police cars.
Police command centre confirmed there is a cordon in place at Hyde Street, and unable to give anymore information at this time.
ODT are reporting:
A reporter at the scene said there were two police cars, a van, a dog handler, and an ambulance on the street.
A witness at the scene said police had surrounded a property Gorton St, off Hyde St, and were calling for someone to come out.
