Big congratulations to Kate Wilson in winning the Stonewood Homes Gore to Invercargill today and taking home $500!
Some great conditions made it difficult for the groups to come together but there was some great riding out there.
Well done to Corbin Strong in claiming the fastest time, narrowly piping Hamish Keast on the line to claim the $500 prize.
Well done to Ant Leathart (2nd), Peter Bruce Redpath (3rd), Sam Kopae(4th), Nicola Stevens (5th), and Allan Milne (6th).
Corbin was fastest U19 home with Kate obviously first woman too.
And big congrats to Kayne Borrie for winning the junior race, with brother Oliver in second and Jake Willis third. Jake was fastest home.
A big thanks to Tony Corkill and Paul Tomlinson, Robin Criglington, Waine Harding, Julian Ineson, Lindsay Jones, Andy Blay, Reece McDonald and Owen Webb for their marshalling, and the Beadles for the use of their front lawn again.
A big thanks to Brendan Akeroyd for his continuing support of cycling in Southland.
And thanks again to the riders for their patience and understanding regarding the changes needed today. We’ll do it all again next year!
Mark Hotton, GM Cycling Southland.
