JJ’s Southland is moving after 63 years to a new purpose-built state-of-the-art tractor and machinery sales and service centre, at the Lorneville roundabout.
Group marketing manager Kari Graber said the new building will be far bigger and allow the company future growth as well as more display area for its tractors and implements.
“One exciting thing that we will have that I don’t think anyone else will, is a demo area for us to do onsite demos for our clients. This will be a major bonus for both us and the customers. It means we won’t have to plan major demo events and can host more onsite events that help promote the benefits of our products.”
The new sales centre will showcase an extensive range of cutting-edge tractors and agriculture equipment. Designed with the customer in mind, the facility features a spacious showroom, a dedicated service centre, larger parts department and a team of highly trained professionals to provide expert guidance and support throughout the sales process.
The new centre is a testament to JJ’s resolute commitment to meeting the evolving needs of modern farmers and agricultural businesses. By combining modern technology, superior product quality, and exceptional customer service, the new branch aims to empower farmers and boost productivity in the agricultural sector.
“We are thrilled to announce a fresh, new and innovative one-stop destination for farmers seeking the finest tractors available,” said Paul Jones, Managing Director of JJ Limited.
“At JJ’s we recognise that tractors are the backbone of successful agriculture, and our aim is to offer a seamless and rewarding buying experience. With our extensive product range, knowledgeable staff, and commitment to customer satisfaction, we are confident that our new location will help us better serve as a go-to destination for all tractor machinery needs in Southland.”
JJ’s outgrew its current building quite some time ago, and the new building will offer the company the space it needs for a larger parts department and a much better customer experience from the sales offices to the lobby.
“The large land area and having dedicated customer parking areas are all features we just can’t accommodate on the current site.”
2023 also marks the 65th anniversary for the family-owned company, that is also in the process of opening its seventh branch in Cromwell.
Starting with one branch in Invercargill in 1958 and expanding into Gore, the company eventually moved all the way up the South Island and into Christchurch.
The original flagship dealership for Massey Ferguson in the South Island, this is a big milestone for the company.
Weathering the changes in agriculture and economic ups and downs over the years, the company is excited for its future, with growth projected in 2024.
Paul said they are really looking forward to moving into the new premises and it’s a great way to celebrate 65 years of longevity.
“We have a couple of very excitng projects on the horizon that make this anniversary particularly special.”
