Invercargill Police have arrested two men in relation to an incident in Nichol Street on Monday 1 August.

The two arrested men, aged 18 and 19, have been charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle.

Both men will be appearing in the Invercargill District Court this afternoon.

Police would like to thank members of the public for sharing information that led to the recovery of the vehicle wanted in relation to the incident last night.

The incident saw a male assaulted in his home before being taken from the address by two males in a vehicle.

The victim was dumped from the car near Tisbury and later taken to hospital for moderate injuries.

Police are still investigating what happened, but would like help from the public with any sightings of a 1995 green Nissan Bluebird saloon, registration TE9173, which looks similar to the vehicle pictured.

It is possible this vehicle may have been abandoned somewhere in the Invercargill or wider Southland region.
