Invercargill, New Zealand – Invercargill Police have charged a 44-year-old man with manslaughter following an altercation with a 78-year-old man in a local licensed premises’ car park on January 28th.
According to reports, the altercation took place on a Saturday evening, and the 78-year-old man sustained injuries as a result. He was hospitalized and passed away on February 1st.
The 44-year-old suspect was arrested and has been charged with manslaughter. He is scheduled to appear in Invercargill District Court on March 23rd.
The Police have stated that they cannot comment further on the matter as it is currently before the court.
