A city man is in a stable condition in Southlands Kew Hospital after a stabbing believed to have happened in the St Andrew Street area early Sunday morning a media spokesperson said.

What we know:

  • the man sustained injuries to his neck
  • police were now trying to locate the victim’s friend to find out what happened
  • the incident happened at 3.15am
  • inquiries are continuing
