The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto in Ashburton and is made up of $22 million from Powerball First Division and $200,000 from Lotto First Division.

This is the single largest Powerball prize won so far this year and it’s the fourth time that the top Powerball prize has been won in 2016 – meaning there are now four more millionaires in New Zealand.

Four other Lotto players from around the country also won $200,000 tonight. The winning Lotto tickets were sold at Sunnybrae Superette in Auckland, New World Westend in Rotorua, Thorndon New World in Wellington and Windsor Stationery & Lotto in Invercargill. Strike Four has rolled over to Wednesday night and will be worth $200,000.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ ticket-checker app.

Players can phone Lotto on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
