A Powerball player from Auckland is celebrating after winning an impressive $30.2 million in tonight’s Lotto draw. The winning ticket, sold at Albany Central Superette, was made up of $30 million from Powerball First Division and $200,000 from Lotto First Division.
The Auckland winner is now the seventeenth Powerball multi-millionaire of 2024. This win follows a $4.3 million prize won by a young couple from Hibiscus Coast in September. The couple, thrilled with their win, marked the occasion by celebrating with champagne and takeaways, and they plan to pay off their mortgage and complete their home renovations.
Four other players have won $200,000 each with Lotto First Division tonight. The winning tickets were purchased from Whau Valley Dairy in Whangārei and via MyLotto by players from Auckland, Christchurch, and Canterbury.
Invercargill is one of twelve lucky winners who will take home $32,522 each with Lotto Second Division, the ticket purchased via the MyLotto app. Two of these players also secured Powerball Second Division wins, bringing their total prize to $46,534. The winning Powerball Second Division tickets were sold at Fairview Downs Superette in Hamilton and on MyLotto to a player from Northland.
Strike Four has rolled over and will be worth $800,000 in Saturday night’s Lotto draw.
